In this workshop series, coders learn the principles of Python programming and gain a foundational understanding of objects, classes, functions, and modules. Coders apply their newfound skills to engaging with a humanoid robot.
Strings / Variables / Loops / Conditional Statements (Lessons 1 and 2)
List Comprehensions / Standard Library Functions (Lesson 3)
Objects and Classes (Lesson 4)
Efficiency (Lesson 5)
Coders must bring their own laptops (a recent PC or Mac, no Chromebooks)
We use Python IDLE for coding, free to download from python.org
Workshops are taught by computer science majors and grad students from area universities.
