Making Mods in Minecraft with Python
This workshop gives Minecraft lovers everywhere the chance to create mods using basic Python, an open source programming language used by millions of software developers worldwide. In the first class, students learn the basics of variables and how to create instant buildings with 40+ varieties of blocks. In the second class, students learn how to ask true/false questions using Boolean logic and from this how to create mini-games. In the final class, students learn to create loops and functions to instantly create mystery games, superpowers, textures, and magic trails. Three two-hour sessions for students in 4th to 8th grade comfortable typing on a keyboard. Laptop required. Schedule TBD.
